No pain. The world is a wonderful whisper for those who can listen, if necessary in silence.

For Those About To Rock (We Salute You) - AC/DC (1981)

Sempreverde.

I do not know how to explain why, but I always been passionate about this album. Probably for the title, which I discovered was borrowed from a book about the Roman gladiators (For Those About To Die, We Salute You, a kind of translation by Ave Caesar, morituri te salutant), and then because it was the successor to the mythological Back In Black, one of those discs that can not be forgotten, stainless, unsurpassed, a disc that, after almost 40 years, when I put it on, still remains very difficult to remove. Still, this another production of the equally legendary Robert John "Mutt" Lange, which came almost a year and a half away from the predecessor mentioned earlier, recorded in part in an old warehouse around Paris, because the producer himself was not happy with the sound in the EMI studio (still in Paris), it has charm for me. And even this record, which I remember in its openly vinyl cover, is one of those, perhaps because of its simplicity and immediacy, when it comes to listening to it, it is not that I die of the desire to quit, and move on to others .
Tracks like For Those About to Rock (We Salute You), the classic hit, Inject the Venom, reminiscent of the blues roots of the Australians, especially in the intro, Spellbound, Snowballed, and so on, make you realize it's not always easy to make simple things, and at the same time that sometimes simplicity is what it takes.
Evergreen.
