No pain. The world is a wonderful whisper for those who can listen, if necessary in silence.

Chickenfoot

Best + Live - Chickenfoot (2017)

In March of 2017, this double work by Chickenfoot was released, and you, you know, is a kind of Best Of for a band that has only two studio albums. In fact, the double cd consists of an unreleased track, "Divine Termination", a small "Greatest Hits" of 10 tracks, three live cover version ("Higway Star", Deep Purple, Montrose's "Bad Motor Scooter", "My Generation" by the Who), and a live disc containing 11 tracks. Keep in mind that the two studio albums of the band in question came out in 2009 and 2011 respectively, after which they released a beautiful live (LV) at the end of 2012, so the operation looks like the lap of alms in church. I take the opportunity of these lines to reflect once again on the meaning of this supergroup, which I liked from the beginning. It is a shame that their members depend above all on Chad Smith's commitments with Red Hot Chili Peppers, a band that has nothing left to say; on the other hand, the Chickenfoot, they could give us things just rock, but no doubt pleasurable.
